WAYCROSS — Mrs. Balinda Marie Oliver, 62, died Sunday, November 10, 2024, at her daughter’s residence in Savannah after an extended illness.

She was born October 1, 1962 in Waycross to the late Rufus Clark, Sr. and Bessie O. Lane Clark. Balinda graduated from Waycross High School, and she formerly was employed by Baptist Village for over 20 years. Mrs. Oliver attended True House of Deliverance Church under the leadership of Pastor Juliett Howard for many years.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Morris E. Clark; grandson, Normil Isaiah Telemaque, Jr.; brother, Sammie Lane, Jr.; and grandparents, Roy and Minnie Lane.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Lewis Oliver of Waycross; children, Laron S. Clark, Deshonda M. Atkins, Chquetta O. Graham (James E. Graham, Jr.), Latoya Williams (Emmanuel Williams), Shareka Dotson (Cecil Dotson II), Linda A. Clark and Tamera M. Clark; 24 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her mother, Bessie O. Lane Clark; siblings, Rufus Clark, Jr., Anthony Clark, Willie Clark, Kenny Clark and Michael Clark; goddaughters, Araine (Faye) Howard and Sharon Lane; godson, Rondarius Webb; and a host of sisters-inlaw, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23 at The Church of Christ Written in Heaven, 617 Blackwell Street, Waycross. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 22 at Music Funeral Home.
