Ham
UNDATED — M. Anthony “Tony” Ham peacefully went to be with the Lord at his home on October 7, 2024, at the age of 72 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cynthia “Cindy” R. Ham. Lovingly remembered by his sons Victor (Ashlee) Ham and Nicholas (Deana) Ham; his grandchildren Merrick, Julia, Duncan, and Bennett; his sister Annette Willis; nieces Teri, Sarah, and Edie; and nephews Browning and Caleb.
Ham lived a life of service to his family, friends, community, and Georgia. His faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ guided his life and his decisionmaking as Clerk of Superior Court of Brantley County and as a member of the Okefenoke REMC and Oglethorpe Power Corporation Boards of Directors. Ham treated everyone with the same level of respect and dignity regardless of background and had a long-lasting positive impact on so many.
He loved the outdoors and created great memories fishing on the Satilla River. He also enjoyed working the earth and farmed most of his adult life. Ham did both with a smile until he was no longer physically able to do so. Most of all, he loved his wife and family, and cheered them on no matter what. His positive mantra of “every day’s a holiday and every meal’s a feast” allowed him to stay grateful and feel blessed regardless of the situation. He will be missed.
The family requests your presence at his memorial service, which will be held 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, November 24 at Jacobs Plantation, 2686 Caney Bay Road, Nahunta.
