Interim Manager at Exchange

Ware County Clerk and interim County Manager Melinda Brooks was the guest speaker at a recent luncheon meeting of the Waycross Exchange Club. Brooks’ job as County Clerk is to attend meetings, record minutes and keep the official records of the county. She has been giving Herculean effort of digitizing past records which will make searching easier. She also executes open records requests. Currently, she is helping coordinate the debris collection from Hurricane Helene throughout the county. She said that task may continue into December. Brooks was named interim County Manager earlier this month following the resignation of former County Manager Scott Moye.
