Ware County’s wrestling Gators finished second here Saturday during the 16th annual Taylor Bristow Memorial Swamp Duals.
The Gators went 4-0 in pool play before falling 40-36 to Brunswick. Ware County beat Lee County 57-21 in its opening match, Brantley County 66-12, Tift County 51-30 and Effingham County 70-10 in pool play.
Other teams competing were Appling County, Richmond Hill, Berrien and Lowndes.
Ware County hosted three-team match Tuesday, November 12 against Berrien and Appling County.

Jonah Carter (285) recorded a 9-7 decision. Landon Phillips (106), Steve Valdez (113) and Laith Lairsey (138) won by forfeit.
Losing by pin were Evan Thomas (144, 2:30) and Brody Wood (150, 1:45). David Muchison (165, 16-1) and Jalen Hampton (215, 18-2) dropped technical fall decisions.
