Waycross-Ware County Retired Educators will celebrate Retired Educators' Day Sunday, November 3. During the Waycross City Commission meeting Tuesday, October 15, Mayor Michael-Angelo James, an educator himself, presented a proclamation from the city in recognition of the special occasion to Karen Ethridge, president of the local educators association, along with Vice President Minnie Dotson and Handbooks Chair Pam Altman. Ethridge encouraged all churches to recognize educators during their worship services November 3. The key role of an teacher is to train others to be the best they can be in whatever profession they choose.
