Pleasant Valley sets Fall Festival Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 7136 Central Avenue, has scheduled a Fall Festival from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 27.
The free event of food and family fun is open to the public. There will be bounce houses, a cake walk, train rides, cookie decorating, and bingo.
The church also will have a prayer station during the event where attendees can share or receive a time of prayer understanding and materials to help in difficult times.
Greater St. Paul has anniversary Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 110 Pittman Street, celebrates its 120th anniversary with special services today-Thursday, October 9-10 and Sunday October 13.
Worship times are 7 p.m. weekdays and 3 p.m. Sunday. St. John, New Mount Pleasant, Friendship Missionary Baptist churches will lead the programs during the week with St. Peters Missionary Baptist handling Sunday’s service.
In addition to the worship programs, the church also will hold a community picnic at noon Saturda y on the church lawn.

Antioch Baptist sets anniversary picnic Historic Antioch Baptist Church, 615 Knight Avenue, will hold a community picnic as part of its 154th anniversary celebration Sunday, October 20.
All are invited to the event from noon to 2 p.m. on the church grounds. In addition to food, there will be games, prizes, and a 50-50 raffle.
All food will be provided by the church. Dress is outdoor casual.
