Word Of Faith honors pastor
Word Of Faith Christian Center, 204 S. Crawford Street, will hold a Pastoral Appreciation and Birthday Celebration Friday-Sunday, October 4-6 for Bishop C.C. Smithson.
Worship will be at 7 p.m., Friday-Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Speakers will be Pastor Tommy Miller from Blackshear on Friday followed by Pastor Prophete Bobby Orange from Waycross and Pastor John Moss, also from Waycross.

Charlie Giving Back sets food giveaway Charlie Giving Back community outreach will stage a food giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 5 at E.E. Moore Park.
The first 300 will be served. Recipients need to bring boxes to carry items.
Victory Methodist sets Homecoming Victory Methodist Church, 5062 Booth Church Road in Manor, celebrates Homecoming with a special program at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 6. A meal will follow the service.
The celebration begins a week of worship at the church with revival services at Monday-Wednesday, October 7-9. Worship will be held each day at 7 p.m. with Dr. John Powell serving as evangelist.

Greater St. Paul has anniversary Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 110 Pittman Street, celebrates its 120th anniversary with special services Tuesday-Thursday, October 8-11 and Sunday October 13.
Worship times are 7 p.m. weekdays and 3 p.m. Sunday. St. John, New Mount Pleasant, Friendship Missionary Baptist churches will lead the programs during the week with St. Peters Missionary Baptist handling Sunday’s service.
In addition to the worship programs, the church also will hold a community picnic at noon Saturday on the church lawn.
Women’s worship program set Oct. 5 The program, “When Women Worship” will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at 702 Ossie Davis Parkway.
Host for the event is Renae Sellers with Ensemble Director Kimberly Lee, Guest Psalmist Pastor Tammie Watson and Speaker Apostle Turnkeisa Rushin.

Gospel of John subject of study Victorious Living Bible Institute will stage a free eight-week study of the Gospel of John beginning Tuesday, October 8.
