City, Goodwill team on job fair Sept. 26 The City of Waycross is partnering with Goodwill Industries to stage a Fall Job Fair from 1 to 4 p.m, Thursday, September 26 at the C.C. McCray City Auditorium.

The spring employment fair drew more than two dozen prospective employers for job seekers to interact with during the day.

New BB/Air Rifle team meeting set The new Ware County BB/Air Rifle team will be holding a meeting Thursday, September 26 for those interested in becoming members The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., at the Ware County Extension Office at 3225 Harris Road.

This is a chance for your child to learn, compete and have a blast with fellow enthusiasts.

Hospice Satilla honors veterans Hospice Satilla will honor veterans at a dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 7 at the Stephens Venue, 773 Ossie Davis Parkway.

Retired Army Sgt. Major Tonya Oxendine will be the keynote speaker. Reservations are required by Saturday, October 19.

The evening will include door prizes and a catered dinner.

Ware students earn recognition at CCG A group Ware County students have earned a place on the President’s and Dean’s Lists, respectively, for the summer semester at the College of Coastal Georgia, Brunswick.

Those named to the President’s List must be enrolled in at least six hours of course work and achieve a GPA of 4.00 for the term.

Students named to the Dean’s List achieved a GPA between 3.5 to 3.99 while enrolled in at least six hours in the given term.

Earning President’s List recognition were Alyssa Crowe, Kimberly Ellis, Jada Johnson, Danielle McCullough and John Smith. Jarrett Rowell was named to the Dean’s List.

Breakfast & bingo at Ware Rec. Dept.

The Ware County Recreation Department is offering breakfast and bingo for senior citizens each Wednesday and Friday at the Trembling Earth Sports Complex, 2100 Cecil Brown Drive.

A continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 a.m. followed by bingo at 9 a.m.
