Dorothy Marie “Dot” Luke, 77, of Jacksonville, formerly of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Cross Care Center in Jacksonville.
Born in Waycross, December 19, 1944, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life prior to moving to Jacksonville a couple of years ago. She was retired from Lewis & Raulerson where she had worked in bookkeeping and was a member of the Blackshear Church of God. She was a devoted Christian who loved reading her Bible and sharing her faith. She had been a hard worker but also found time to enjoy traveling, baking cakes and spending time with her family.
She was a daughter of the late Clinton and Pearl Pearson Luke. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Luke Crawford and by a great-nephew, Justin Reynolds.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Hubert Crawford, Sumter, SC; her niece and nephew, Kay Reynolds, Jacksonville and Alan (Jennifer) Crawford, Sumter; great-nieces and great-nephews, Faith (Scott) Sims-McGinley, Hope (Edgar) Hernandez, and Zachery (Sara) Crawford; nine great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
