Charlie Giving Back sets food giveaway Charlie Giving Back community outreach will stage a food giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28 at E.E. Moore Park.
The first 300 will be served. Recipients need to bring boxes to carry away the items.
Mason Temple has 104th anniversary Mason Temple Church of God in Christ, 800 Daniel Street, holds its 104th anniversary Thursday- Sunday, September 19-22.
The eighth anniversary of Pastor James Pharmes will be observed in conjunction with the celebration. Theme for the anniversary is “Celebrating God’s Faithfullness” with Scripture being Psalm 89: 1.
Worship hours are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Included in the Saturday program will be the Sunshine Band and Youth Reunion for anyone who was part of the band as a youth to share memories with Sister Gertrude Snell and Mother Ozzie Thomas.
Word of Faith sets Family, Friends Word of Faith Christian Center, 204 S. Crawford Street, holds its Family and Friends Day service at 5 p.m., Sunday, September 22.
Speaker for the special program will be Bishop Marvin Cohen of Faith Zone International in Jacksonville Fla. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Camp Branch sets 109th homecoming Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy celebrates its 109th homecoming with a special program Sunday, September 22.
The worship begins at 10 a.m. with music from the Combs Family singers from Jacksonville, Fla. State Bishop Billy Adams from Lizella, Ga. will deliver the message.

Spencer to sing at Jamestown Baptist Gospel artist Kevin Spencer presents a concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, September 29 at Jamestown Baptist Church, 3800 ABC Avenue.
The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken. Spencer presents more than 250 concerts a year owns and operates Some Dawning Music Company Int’l., Inc., which includes recording, songwriting, promoting, and producing southern gospel music.
