District 1 Democratic Congressional candidate Patti Hewitt held a meetand- greet Friday, September 6 at The Stephens Venue.
Hewitt was introduced to the crowd by City Commission District 5 candidate Alvin Nelson.
Hewitt began her presentation with a brief biographi-c a l overview, including her 42 years in the consumer fin ancial services industry.
After an in-depth explanation of her platform on a wide variety of issues, including women’s reproductive rights, gun control, transportation and health care, she took questions.
“The Women’s Health Protection Act, the banning of military grade assault weapons, and the passing of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act are very big priorities for me,” Hewitt said in summary.
