Annie Ruth Rutherford Cochran, 90, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, November 13, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Rentz December 9, 1931, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. She was a retired CNA having worked at Baptist Village Nursing Home for many years. She loved to garden and tend to flowers. She was devoted to her family and always cared about others and doing for them. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late John F. and Gladys Mullis Rutherford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robert “J.R.” Cochran; two daughters, Wanda Cochran and Lana Loback; a sister, Nell Wright and both of her brothers, Billy Rutherford and Harold Rutherford.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy and Gerald Steward and Donna Deloach, all of Blackshear; a sister, Edith Jones, Augusta; four grandchildren, Ted (Jessie) Lewis, Holly Davis, Jordyn Loback and Michaela Loback; two great-grandchildren, Zach Sweat and Leigha Sweat; a great-great-grandchild, Wyatt Boatright and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ted Lewis, Zach Sweat, Dave Peacock, Doug Cochran, Greg Jones, Josh Tippins and Wyatt Boatright.
