Hospice Satilla sets grief support class Hospice Satilla is holding a grief support program on Thursdays.
The group meets from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Carl Jones Family Counseling Center, 809 Beacon Street. The program is free and open to the public.

Grant writing info offered Sept. 12 The TRUST is partnering with Share Health Southeast Georgia to provide a grant writing workshop, from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, September 12 at Southern Crown Partners, 6200 Bowen Road, Blackshear.
The seminar will provide participants with information on how to identify the most promising funders for their projects. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Breast Cancer Awareness event
Memorial Satilla Health will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Month reception at 6 p.m., Thursday, October 3 in the hospital’s Main Lobby, 1900 Tebeau Street.
There will be guided tours of MSH’s 3D Mammography Suite along with a survivor recognition ceremony. The event also will include skincare consultations, refreshments and prizes.

Rec. Dept. starts sports programs The Ware County Recreation Department’s fall sports program begins Monday, September 16.
Sports are tackle football, which will be played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday through October 8. Volleyball home games will be played on Monday and Tuesday through September 30.

Senior Dance slated Sept. 14
The Ware County Recreation Department holds its annual Senior Dance from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, September 14 at the Trrembling Earth Complex, 2110 Recreation Drive.
