The C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 meets at 9 a.m. the second Saturday of each month at the post on Ossie Davis Parkway.

Voter registration drive set Sept. 21
Porter Healthcare Solutions and 100 Black Men of Excellence will stage a voter registration drive at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, September 7 at Bailey Street Park.
There will be food, games and activities for children. There will be candidate informationals, as well as a voter verification and registration table, in addition to a DJ, and a “pop-up shop” of professional businesses and services. Call (912) 2881024.
Rec. Dept, to hold movie day Sept. 28 The Ware County Recreation Department will hold a movie day Saturday, September 28 at the Trembling Earth Complex.
Gates open at 5 p.m. for the evening of free activities at the facility’s football complex before the movie, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be games, bounce houses, and s’mores. Funnel cakes and other concessions will be available for purchase during the evening.

Dementia support group organized The Refinery, 522 Miles Still Road, is the site for a support group program for dementia caregivers.
The group meets from 4 to 5 p.m., the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is October 8.
