Herrin
MANOR — Amy Elaine Herrin, 37, of Manor, died Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
Ms. Herrin was born in Waycross on August 8, 1987. As an infant, she spent nine months in the hospital in Aug usta, Ga., with Esophageal atresia. Amy had made Waycross and Manor her home for her entire life.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially riding horses and 4wheelers. Ms. Herrin was an avid University of Georgia Bulldogs fan. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lula Bell Thrift Taylor and her paternal grandparents, Mason and Lena Mae Herrin.
Ms. Herrin is survived by her daughter, Harley Elaine Fuller of Alma; her mother, Janice Elaine Taylor (David Grant) of Yulee, Fla.; her father, Darrell “Red” Herrin (Tammy) of Manor; her grandfather, George Cecil Taylor of Waycross; two brothers, David Grant II (April Skipper) of Yulee, Michael Cox (Jenna Holland) of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; her great aunt, Vanessa Thrift Crowe (Bobby); her aunts, Elaine Smith, Ann Caldwell (Terry), Faye Cravey (Kenny), Sandi McQuaig (Macky), Phyllis Williams (Terry) and Nancy Manning; her nephew, Bentley Grant; her cousins, Sarah Jane Taylor, Garrett Taylor, Cheye Sager (Kain), Colby Taylor; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service was held Saturday, August 24 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
