Waycross Police Department Officer Ethan Jones has been selected as City Employee of the Month for August.
Jones, who joined WPD in January 2023, was recognized at the City Commission meeting, Tuesday, August 13.
Chief Tommy Cox said “professional” is the best way to describe Jones, who serves in the patrol division.
“From the uniform he wears to the patrol car he drives, he is always inspection- ready,” Cox said in introducing Jones. “This professionalism is reflected in his interactions with victims of crimes and the citizens he encounters.”
Cox said Jones is dedicated to traffic enforcement to make the city’s roadways as safe as possible.
“If you see car 64, please buckle up and slow down,” the chief said.
