Case stems from July 30 incident in Admin Bldg.
Ware County Commission Chairman Elmer Thrift is facing a court date regarding an incident in the commission’s chambers inside the Ware County Administration Building.
The case will be heard at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22 in the Ware County Magistrate Court.
According to the Ware County Sheriff’s Office release dated Thursday, August 15, “On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the Ware County Sheriff's Office received and then filed a report regarding an interaction between a Ware County government official and an employee of the county. Ware County Detectives have received the case, and the matter will be heard at a probable cause ...”
Chief Clerk of Magistrate Court Tammy Douglas confirmed Thrift as the government official and Public Works Director Larry Thrift as the county employee in the case.
