WARE COUNTY — Mr. Johnny Everett Morgan, 78, died Friday evening, August 9, 2024, at his residence in Ware County.
Morgan was born November 13, 1945 in Waycross to the late John Henry Morgan and Lavada Lizabeth Carver Sapp. He graduated from Hoboken High School, retired from AmeriGas after 37 years in the gas industry, and was a member of Hosanna Church.
He enjoyed “picking and grinning” on his guitar, story-telling, fishing, watching NASCAR and old Westerns, working on his old tractor, but most importantly spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Morgan was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kerrigan Musgrove.
Survivors include his wife, Jessolene Crawford Morgan of Waycross; four children, Wendell Morgan (Victoria) of Waycross, Robert Morgan (Diane) of Blackshear, Sherry Musgrove (Johnathon Wilburn) of Waycross and Amy Swain (David) of Guyton. Ga.; grandchildren, M’Lissa Brauda (Drew), Byron Morgan (April), Richard Morgan (Hannah), Coty Morgan, Kori James (Noah), Brawton Edgy (Robin Cummings), Kristen Musgrove (Austin Morris), Kaleb, Reid and Jase Swain; great grandchildren, Brayden Morgan, Brant Morgan, Dawson Morgan, Haven Morgan, Byron Morgan, Jr., Luke Morgan, Micah Brauda and Karis Brauda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, August 12 at Hosanna Church. Burial followed in High Bluff Cemetery.
