DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The ministry serves more than a dozen counties in southeast Georgia and north Florida.
Higher Heights has food ministry The food ministry of Higher Heights True Word of God offers items from 9 to 11 a.m., the first Thursday of each month at 979 Tebeau Street.

Feed My Sheep seeks donations Peter Feed My Sheep food ministry is accepting donations for its meal program for the homeless.
In addition to the meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas, the ministry offers clothing and hygiene items to the needy.

Gaines Chapel seeks rehab funds Gaines Chapel AME Church, 801 South Georgia Parkway East, has started a fund-raising campaign via GoFundMe to help rehabilitate and restore the historic church.
The church, which has been idle since the coronavirus pandemic struck in early 2020, is among the oldest in Waycross dating to the late 1800s.
Since 2020, the building has faced flooding and shattered windows which have allowed the elements to take a toll on its structure. The goal is to get the building rehabilitated and restore services.
