Strickland
WAYCROSS — Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Wimpey Strickland, 83, died Tuesday night, July 30, 2024 at Baptist Village Retirement Communities.
Mrs. Strickland was born October 22, 1940 in Offerman to the late Colvin Wimpey and Pearl Manning Blalock. She was a homemaker and member of Astoria Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Theron Strickland.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Theron Strickland of Waycross; daughter-in-law, Valerie Kim Strickland of Blackshear; grandchildren, Joe Strickland (Janice Marie) of Blackshear, Crystal Denise Strickland (James Sandusky) of Waycross, and Wendy Gail Strickland of Jesup; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Stanley Blalock of Blackshear, Gail Dubberly and Yvonne Dubberly both of Browntown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
