Amanda Morris Foreman, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Coastal Pines Technical College, was recently named as one of 24 new fellows for the 17th cohort of the Georgia Education Policy Fellowship Program.
The Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) is a national professional development program sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) which provides potential leaders with the knowledge and networks to advance the core issues of education policy.
Foreman and the 23 other fellows will commit nine months to an inten-sive professional development experience concentrated on three program strands — public policy, leadership and professional networking.
They will attend monthly colloquium to deepen their knowledge of education policy and remain in their full-time positions using their work environment as the context for examining important leadership and policy issues in Georgia.
This distinction will help to elevate CPTC as a leader in educational policy in the state of Georgia.
