One hurt in wreck Saturday in Trudie Comm.

TRUDIE Community — One person was injured in a head-on collision Saturday night with two Chevrolet Silverado’s.

Dianna Branch was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado C150 southbound along Hwy. 301 while Sandy Lee was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado K150 northbound when the approximately 7:01 p.m., November 16 wreck ocurred, according to the accident report of Georgia State Patrol Trooper Austin Edwards.

The trooper reported the Branch vehicle failed to maintain its lane by crossing the center line striking the Lee vehicle head on in the northbound travel lane before strike the concrete bridge wall with its passenger side front.

Branch’s vehicle traveled approximately 23 feet while still in contact with the bridge while rotating counter-clockwise. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado C150 traveled another approximate 54 feet, coming to a final uncontrolled rest facing west in both the north and southbound lanes.

Lee’s 2003 Chevrolet Silverado K150 traveled approximately 153 feet after the initial area of impact before crossing the center line and coming to a final uncontrolled rest facing north in the southbound lane.

Branch required treatment. A passenger in one of the vehicles, William Holton, nor Lee required treatment. Trooper Edwards report did not indicate who Holton was traveling with.

No charges have been filed.
