Wreck on Hwy. 32 injures Hortense driver, according to GSP

BROWNTOWN — One person was injured when a truck trying to pass another pulling a camper when they bumped here on Hwy. 32.

The incident happened Sunday, November 10 at approximately 10:30 a.m., with Georgia State Patrol releasing the information of Trooper Patrick Orr Friday, November 15.

George Michaud, 70 of Hortense, was traveling west in a 1994 Chevrolet GMT 400 C1500 towing a camper.

Robert Myrick, 63 of St. Simons Island, trailed the Michaud vehicle in a 2008 Chevrolet C15 with passenger John Myrick, 61.

As Michaud signaled to make a left turn approaching Willow Drive, Wyrick tried to pass. He struck the right side of the 1994 Chevrolet GMT 400 C1500. The Wyrick vehicle came to a rest at Willow Drive facing west.

Michaud was taken to Brunswich Hospital by Brantley County EMTs for treatment.

Neither of the Wyricks needed treatment.
