Samuel James ‘Jamie’ Rawlins, Jr.

Middleburg, Fla. — Samuel James “Jamie” Rawlins, Jr., 50 of Middleburg, Fla., passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Born in Helena, Ga., Rawlins’ parents are Samuel James Rawlins, Sr., of McRae and Ollie Dupree Harkleroad. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Zenious “Beno” Harkleroad; and his motheri n-law, Ruth Reddish.

Rawlins was a network engineer who loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Rawlins of Middleburg, Fla.; a son, Tripp Rawlins of Middleburg, Fla.; a daughter, Tara Rawlins of Middleburg, Fla.; his mother, Ollie Harkleroad of Hortense; his father, Samuel James Rawlins, Sr., of McRae; two brothers and a sisterin- law, Todd Rawlins (Melinda) of Vidalia and Trey Harkleroad III of Hortense; a sister and brother-in-law, Shelby Wilson (Lester) of Jesup; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1 p.m., at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Shelby Wilson officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
