Honoring our Veterans

Nahunta Primary School and Nahunta Elementary held its annual Veterans Day Program Monday afternoon, November 11. The two schools joined the other schools in the system to honor the men and women who served or are currently sering in the military. The top photo and bottom photo shows students sitting in the stands. The middle photo shows the arrival of Brantley County JROTC cadets, who presented the colors. Students India Burnett (6th grade), Kade Thrift (1st grade) and Cambreigh Taylor (3rd grade), Audriana Jewell (4th grade), Ellie Joe Rowell (2nd grade), Nash Schmitt (kindergarten) and Spenser Johns (5th grad) shared their tributes. NES students in Pre-K through 3rd grade performed “Grateful Nation” while NES 4th grade through 6th grade sang “America the Beautiful.” Photos By JANET NICHOLS
