RIVERSIDE — Wanda Jean Herrin O'Quinn, 77 of Riverside, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 in Helena, Montana following an extended illness.
Born in Brantley County, Mrs. O’Quinn’s parents were Kay Herrin and Bessie Sapp Herrin. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles O’Quinn; and brothers, Harry Herrin, David Herrin and Larry Herrin.
Mrs. O’Quinn was a retired nurse. She never stopped taking care of others. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, nana, meme, sister, aunt and friend to so very many. Her door was always open to those in need, a cup of coffee, a slice of pound cake, a listening ear and sometimes a gentle hug. No matter what there was always room for one more. She was a rock for so many.
Survivors include her brother, Ronnie (Valene) Herrin; her three children, Karen O’Quinn of Helena, Montana, Brenda (Bobby) Laramore of Hudson, Fla., and Jeffrey (Janice) O’Quinn of Hortense; eight, grandchildren, Megan (Chris) Towers, Mia Laramore, Brooke (Dan) Hatten, Charles “Trey” Laramore, Hailey Rowell, Baylee Kirkland, Taylor Kirkland and Jason Corbett; six great-grandchildren, Kristina, Michele and Abbey Towers, Mila and Luca Nunez’, and Arabella Kirkland; brother and sister- in-law, Ronnie Herrin (Valene) of Atlanta; five sisters-in-law, Faye Herrin and Diane Herrin of Atlanta, Connie Bass, Donnie Chesser and Joann Madison, all of Folkston; multiple adopted children and grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be Saturday morning, October 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Towers, Trey Laramore, Randy Herrin, Jason Corbett, Dustin Morrison and Donald Lewis.
