WAYCROSS — Mr. Carlos Lee Roberts, 60, died early Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024 at Harborview Satilla after an extended illness.
Roberts was born February 5, 1964 in Waycross to the late Thomas Marvis Roberts and Edith Aldridge Roberts. He att ended Hoboken Elementary Roberts
and Center Jr. High where he played trombone in the band.
In 1977, Roberts moved to Houston where he graduated from Braeburn Baptist Academy. He was baptized in Braeburn Baptist Church and followed a life that served the Lord for many years.
Roberts was employed by R&R Cartage Inc., as a manager from 1981 until 1994. After moving back to Waycross, he became an assistant manager for Friendly Express.
In 2007, Roberts became ill and worked until 2012. He had a brilliant IQ and photographic memory. Roberts was a kind person who was loved and adored by all his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Stella Aldridge; and paternal grandparents, C.L. and Virginia Roberts.
Survivors include his mother, Edith Aldridge Roberts of Waycross; sister, Kelley Roberts of Waycross; aunts, Maxie Jeanette Allen of Tallahassee, Fla., and Linda Harris of Waycross; and numerous other relatives.
Memorialization was by cremation.
