ALMA — Gregory “Greg” Taylor, 65 of Alma, passed away suddenly Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Taylor was born August 20, 1959 in Ware County to the late James Floyd Taylor and Inez King Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Marshall Taylor.
Taylor was a member of New Lacy Church of God and was a foreman with Pike Electric for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra Kay Boatright Taylor of Alma; two sons, Troy Taylor (Marianne) of Alma and Drew Taylor (Jessica) of Augusta; granddaughter, Emma James Taylor; uncle Jerry Taylor (Carla) of Alma and aunt Doris Bagley of Waynesville.
A funeral service was held Friday, October 18, 2024 at New Lacy Church of God with Pastor Jamie Rivera, Bishop R.B. Gaskins and Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating.
Interment followed in Elizabeth Chapel Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to New Lacy Sanctuary Building Fund.
Active pallbearers were Francis Otoniel, Mason Johnson, Kevin Quinn, Reggie Screws, Mike Spivey and Turner Bagley.
Pike Electric employees, Satilla REMC employees, and New Lacy Kids Church served as honorary pallbearers.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
