BLACKSHEAR — Mrs. Dorothy Ann Fairley, 96, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.
Mrs. Fairley was born in Waycross to the late Ossie Howard Young and Lou Owen Young. She was employed as a teller with First National Bank for 42 years and was currently a member of Bridge Church in Blackshear. She had a lifelong love of the Lord and Bible.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Florian Junior Fairley; two sons-in-law, Jerry Cureton and Joseph Hauner; a brother, Howard Young (Sis); and a sister, Bette Patterson (Ben).
Mrs. Fairley is survived by four children, Jim Fairley (Margaret) of Blackshear, Jo Piazza (Terry) of Houston, Texas, Jan Cureton of Waycross and Melanie Hauner of Hoboken; six grandchildren, Jonathan Fairley (Yva), Meg Wood (Will), Lindsey Brown (Jared), Whitney Sadler (Jeff), Jamie Chrisman (Kellan) and Joshua Findley; five great grandchildren, Amelia Ann Fairley, Cason Ragsdale, Ethan Brown, Charlie Chrisman and Annie Chrisman; special cousins, Bette Batts, Barbara Norris and Connie Herbert.
A graveside service was held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Bridge Church, 419 Main St. Blackshear, GA 31516.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
