Ada Viginia ‘Ginny’ Maloy Taylor

HORTENSE – Ada Viginia “Ginny” Maloy Taylor, 88 of Hortense, passed away Thursday morning, October 17, 2024 at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Born in Florida, Mrs. Taylor’s parents were Clarence Maloy and Eva Glisson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Morris Taylor; three brothers, William Maloy, Hubert Maloy and Robert Maloy; and a sister, Ernestine Love.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren and family dearly and would do anything for them. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, antiquing and in earlier years dancing.

Survivors include her five daughters and sonsin- law, Julie Kneedler (Brian Barton) of Hortense, Cindy Swartz (Jim) of Lovettsville, Va., Jennifer Storms (Christopher) of Athens, Texas, Amanda Taylor (Davis Pridgen) of Whitesville, N.C., and Edie Taylor (J.O. Nobles) of Hortense; three sons, Jon Angell (Dorothy) of Hawthrone, Fla. David Taylor of Michigan and Daryl Taylor of Georgia; 22 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Sunny Hill Cemetery in Calhoun, Fla.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
