NAHUNTA – Ricky Lee Lane, 39 of Nahunta, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville after a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, Lane’s parents are Shelia Arlene Miller Wainright and the late Joseph Leroy Lane, Sr..
He was a painter for Dem arus Johns’ Painting and loved fishing, doing research on different things and was a collector of all things.
Survivors include his son, Blake Lee Lane of Nahunta; two daughters, Cheyenne Hodge of Waycross and Zyah Shiland of Nahunta; his mother, Shelia Wainright (Mike Walker) of Nahunta; two brothers and a sister-inlaw, Joseph Leroy “Junior” Lane, Jr. (Alisha) of Bachlott and Timothy “Road Hog” Lane of Nahunta; a sister and brother-in-law, Nikki O’Neal (Charlie) of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2024 at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Crews, Gavin Crews, Jonathan Crews, Dylan Johns, Stephen Blount and Dale Johns. Honorary pallbearers were Demarus Johns’ Painting employees.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
