Letter to the editor
Dear Parents, Educators, and Guardians,
As we recognize Bullying Prevention Month, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the critical role you play in protecting children from harm – both online and offline. At Brantley Telephone Company, our mission is to create safer spaces for children to grow, learn, and connect, and that’s never been more important than today.
Bullying has evolved in the digital age. What once took place in school hallways and playgrounds now happens in texts, social media apps, and online communities. Sadly, cyberbullying affects millions of children, often without parents even realizing it. This is where Bark steps in.
Brantley Telephone Company is committed to helping the parents in our community address bullying in real-time. The Bark app monitors digital conversations for signs of harmful behavior such as bullying, harassment, and threats of violence, sending timely alerts to parents and guardians helping them to take action before a situation escalates. We believe that by working together, we can prevent these harmful situations and foster environments where children feel safe and supported.
This October, in honor of Bullying Prevention Month, I encourage you to have meaningful conversations with your children about kindness, empathy, and the importance of standing up against bullying. Know that Brantley Telephone Company has partnered with Bark to support you every step of the way.
Together, we can create a safer, kinder world for our children.
Thank you for being a part of the Brantley Telephone Company Bark family.
Warm regards, Avery Wade Strickland Owner: Brantley Telephone Company
