Brantley County Middle School students joined millions of students around the world in prayer for the “See You At The Pole” event.
The annual event was held Wednesday, September 25 at 7:30 a.m. This event began in 1990 with a small group of Burleson, Texas became broken before God and had a burdened for their friends and family who did not have a relationship with Christ.
Today, students all over the country have the opportunity to take part in praying for our great nation, our state, and our local communities. Many students were eager to pray for their families as well.
Along with praying for our country, students shared scripture and different pastors and youth pastors joined with students of BCMS to pray.
BCMS 8th-grader Ashton Tyler welcomed everyone and introduced the different pastors and youth pastor to lead in prayer.
Eighth grader Alex Keen shared about the history of “See You At The Pole.” The obedience of Burleson, Texas group of students inspired other students across Texas to do the same. Youth leaders joined the students and birthed a vision to meet at their flag-poles and pray simultaneously.
Eighth grader Caelyn Dixon shared the theme for this years “See You At The Pole” — “First Pray.” This years key verse comes from 1 Timothy 2:1 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.”
Tyler then introduced Nahunta First Baptist youth pastor Derrell Shedd, Gilchrist Park Church of God of Prophecy (Waycross) Pastor Eric Dixon and Southside Baptist Pastor Phillip Cochran, and Trey Keene from Whosoever Church to pray over our students and staff.
BCMS FCA Leadership Team members spread out and took a group of 820 students and prayed for our leaders, military, law enforcement, medics, fire fighters, our school, community, classmates and also for families who were in the path of the storm Helene.
Brantley County Middle School Principal Dr. Christopher Harris prayed over the students and staff of Brantley Middle.
FCA Huddle Coach Dustin Ray was proud of all of the FCA leaders who organized the event bringing Brantley Middle School students together for a time of prayer and worship.
