HORTENSE — Margie Delane Crews Corbin, 76 of Hortense, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah following an extended illness.
Born in Folkston, Mrs. Corbin’s parents were Hilton Arch Crews and Betty Lou Johnson Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dave “Butch” Corbin; her

grandson, Joseph Winn; three brothers, Kenny, Lance and Archie Crews; two sisters, Donna Jean Corbin and Shayna Price.
Mrs. Corbin was of the Church of God Faith and worked many years in housekeeping. She enjoyed camping, shopping, fishing, going out to eat, cooking, and loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors include her six children, Melanie “Dawn” Winn (J.R.), of Jesup, Shirley Ann Carter (Bobby Strickland) of Hortense, James O. Carter, Jr. (Stephanie) of Nahunta, Terri Lynn Carter (Austin Green) of Brunswick, Evelyn L. Wood (Jesse Horton) of Nahunta and Carmen Marble (Ronald) of Hortense; 11 grandchildren, Julie Winn, Jasper Winn, Anastasia “Staci” Warner, Amber Baca, James A. Carter, Jason Carter, Angel O’Berry, Dustin Green, Mitchell Carter and Justin Walker; 18 great grandchildren; two greatgreat grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Dave Corbin and Herman Corbin; and a sister-inlaw, Sue Osterhoudt; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A funeral service was held Monday, September 30, 2024 at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Burial followed in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Carter, Dustin Green, Drew Carter, Mitchell Carter, Justin Walker and Levi Crews.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
