COVINGTON, Ga. — Mrs. Retha Runell Adams, 86, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at her residence in Covington Mrs. Adams was born in Brantley County to the late Mannen Mikel Carter and Lottie Mae Lee Carter. She was the former owner and operator of Denny and Associates.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was also preceded in death by her husband, William Mason Adams; a brother, Bobby Norris Carter; and two sisters, Cynthia Carter and Elna Carter Whitfield.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Mason Adams (Teresa); two grandsons, Robert Mason Adams (Julie) and Richard Lee Adams (Julie); five great grandchildren, Kathryn Elisabeth Adams, Caroline Nell Adams, Mason Lee Adams, Caden Peck and Hayden Grace Lewis; five sisters, Francine Bennett (late Gene), Myra Tucker (late Lannie), Wanda Davis (Ken), Lawanna Cook (Eddie) and Deloyce Underwood (Russ); a brother, Roger Carter (Nola Mae); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
