Brantley County wrapped up its regular season volleyball schedule posting a record-setting season in the victory column.
The Lady Herons (13-17) more than doubled their victory total (624) of 2023, the second year of the program. The six wins followed a winless opening act in 2022.
BCHS dropped matches Monday, September 16 to Bryan County (25--17, 25-7) and Toombs County (lost 2-1, no match scores reported) in Lyons.
The meeting with the Lady Redskins was the fourth of the season with Bryan County capturing three of the four matchups. The Lady Herons were swept August 27, prevailed with a 2-1 victory September 3 and lost 2-1 September 11.
Brantley County ended a fourgame losing streak Tuesday, September 17 beating the Lady Bulldogs at home after rallying from a one-set deficit. The Lady Herons won 18-25, 25-19, 15-9.
BCHS wrapped up the busy week in Savannah splitting with Woodville-Tompkins and Class 3A1A Private School eighth-ranked St. Vincent’s Academy.
The Lady Herons turned back Woodville-Tompkin 25-23, 27-25. They fell 25-4, 25-7 to St. Vincent’s.
