The Brantley County Board of Education voted to adopt a 15.3 millage rate during Friday morning’s called meeting.
The board voted to leave the millage rate at 15.3 mills to support the FY25 budget of $39,784.179. The bond rate is .61.
“The value of the millage rate came back slightly higher,” Superintendent Kim Morgan said. “The tax commissioner gave the credit to more mobile homes being sold in Brantley County.” Last year the governor gave an additional homestead exemption which will not happen this year.
The superintendent also gave a reminder about the community pep rally tonight (Wednesday, September 18) at the high school football field at 6 p.m.
The next Board of Education meeting will be held Monday, October 7 at 7 p.m.
