HORTENSE — Barbara Wiggins Logue, 77 of Hortense, passed away

Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, her parents were Stewart Johnson Wiggins, Jr. and Elrich Crews Wiggins. She was also preceded in death by her husb and, Enie Logue; her son, Scott Andrew Douberly; her sisters, Sandra Wiggins, Mary Wiggins Clark; brother, Stewart Johnson Wiggins III, brothers-inlaw, Gordon Mitchell and Stanley Clark; grandmothers, Julia Gibson and Alma Omick; aunt, Virginia Omick; and two nephews, Vance Mitchell and Dennis Mitchell.
Mrs. Logue graduated from Nahunta High School. She worked many years for Hercules as a lab technician. She was a member of Arco Baptist Church in Brunswick and Secretary of Chapter Mineral Springs NSDAR, United Daughters of Confederacy and Daughters of the American Colonists.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-inlaw, Clarissa Douberly Self (Ritchie) niece/ adopted daughter, Julie Clark Manning (Brian); stepson, David Logue; grandchildren, Marci Logue, Jared Self, Tara Logue, Alton Logue and Sean Self; great grandchild, Matteo Pena; nieces, Julie Manning and Jennifer McDaniel; nephews, Gordon Mitchell, Jr., Lorin Clark and Ken Clark; also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday evening, September 18, 2024) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon, September 19, 2024 at 1 p.m., at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ritchie Self and Rev. Mike Hendrix officiating.
Burial will follow in Little Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Manning, Morris Worth, Gordon Mitchell, Jr., Ken Clark, Lorin Clark and Steve Self.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Arco Baptist Church.
