PCMS sixth-seventh boys basketball team falls to Ware

The Pierce County Middle School (PCMS) sixth/seventh grade boys basketball team lost 34-36 to Ware Middle last Wednesday (Nov. 9) in what Coach Maureen Brown called “a hard fought battle.”

The game was fast paced, with Ware double and triple team PCMS’s point guard.

Beck Hodges, Dylan Johnson, David Herring, and Jack McCelland all stepped up their game at the point guard position.

Jack McCellan scored 14 pts, Noah Delaney scored 11pts, Kantrell Mackey scored five pts, Dylan Johnson scored three pts and David Herring one pt.

“I was proud of our boys for their hustle and defense. They never gave up,” said Coach Brown.

The eighth Grade Basketball game versus Martha Puckett has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 16 here at Pierce Middle School.
