NAHUNTA — Charles David “Chuck” Crews, Jr., 57 of Nahunta, passed away Saturday evening, August 31, 2024 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, his parents were Charles David Crews, Sr. and Bonnie Lynne Turner Crews.

Crews was a graduate of Camden County High School and a member of Lulaton Baptist Church. He always enjoyed travelling, fishing, going to the movies, going out to eat, playing games, and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Lynne Turner Crews of Waynesville; two sisters and brothers-inlaw, Lana and Pete Wilson of Nahunta and Sheila Crews and Larissa Crews of Hortense; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jerald “Bud” and Tina Crews of Waynesville and Jesse Crews of Waynesville; like a sister, Denise Parker of Manchester, N.H.; two aunts, Brenda Espinueva and Margie Spence; two uncles, Charlie Turner and Horace Crews; nieces and nephews, David Taylor, Johnathan Taylor, Joshua Walker, Courtney Walker, Thalia Rivas, Leanna Rhems, Jerrell Robinson, Shelby Crews, Kelsea Lynn, Kassidy Turner, Tony Turner and Zoey Vaughn; numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be today (Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024) from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., at New Hope Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Steve Beal officiating.

Pallbearers will be Josh Walker, Matthew Howe, Johnathan Taylor, Pete Wilson, Andrew Leho and Jaden Walker.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
