Staff Report The Waycross Journal-Herald’s annual Pigskin Preview highlighting local teams is in this week’s edition.
It’s a tradition Head Publishing, LLC has continued with the format changing from regular newspaper print to a glossy magazine four years ago.
Ware County, Pierce County, Brantley County and Bacon County’s 2024 teams are broken down by positional groupings. There are also two-page spreads giving tidbits about the opponents each program is facing this year.
“All of this couldn’t be possible without our advertisers,” said Publisher Rick Head. “I deeply appreciate their trust in Head Publishing, LLC in producing a product our communities will be proud of.
“We also appreciate the coaches (Ware County’s Jason Strickland, Pierce County’s Ryan Herring, Brantley County’s David Shores and Bacon County’s Mark Wilson) for taking the time to sit down, discuss and give insight to their respective teams.”
The 2024 Pigskin Preview is being inserted to all subscribers and for single sales at local convenient stores and grocery stores. Extra copies can also be picked up at the Waycross Journal-Herald, The Blackshear Times and The Brantley Beacon offices.
