Carolyn Aura-Belle Hunter Vickers Harper BRUNSWICK – Carolyn Aura-Belle Hunter Vickers Harper, 83 of Brunswick, passed away early Friday morning, August 16, 2024)in Hoboken after an extended illness.

Born in Blackshear, Mrs. Harper’s parents were James Floyd Hunter and Vida Miles Hunter. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Vickers; her second husband, Hubert Harper; her son, Thomas Vickers, Jr.; and her brother, Donald Hunter.

She was a retired Art teacher for Camden County Board of Education and a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Harper was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved spending time with her family and friends, her church and watching TV.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Rush; two grandchildren, Erin Lee (Josh) and Ana Vickers; a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Vickers; her sister, Jerilyn Latrelle Hunter Smith; two nephews, Mark Smith and Dennis Smith; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024)at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta with Rev. Carl Barnhardt and Rev. Vernon Dillingham officiating.

Burial will be Friday, August 23, 2024 at 3 p.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Mary’s.

Per Mrs. Harper’s request, in lieu of flowers make a donation to a church of your choice.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
