Amvets Post 621 announces meeting WAYCROSS — The C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 will meet the second Saturday of each month at the post on Ossie Davis Parkway in Waycross.

Amvets is open to retired veterans in the area. The meeting will be at 9 a.m. The new Amvet Riders Chapter will meet at 10 a.m. and the ladies auxiliary group will meet at 11 a.m.

Foster Park sets Swamper Heritage Stephen C. Foster State Park, 17515 Ga. Hwy 17 in Fargo, will hold Swamper Heritage Day from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, October 26.

Visit the Okefenokee frontier in the 19th Century to experience life as it was in the remote wilderness. Walk among authentic settler camps to see demonstrations on blacksmithing, pine needle basketry, spinning and weaving, and musket firing.

Griffin-Bell has reunion Nov. 24

The annual Griffin-Bell family reunion will be held Sunday, November 24 at the lunchroom of Hoboken Elementary, 224 Church Street.

Cemetery cleanup set for High Bluff High Bluff Cemetery’s final scheduled clean up will be held Labor Day.

For those desiring and able to come it is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to come anytime during the week if so desired.
