The Rev. Andrew Franklin Peacock Sr., 77, passed away Thursday evening, November 10, 2022, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross following an extended illness.
He was born in Screven to the late Pleman “Pete” Peacock and Magdeline Crawford Peacock. He was a pastor for many years serving at University Blvd. Church of God and most recently at Christ Church in Waycross.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Barnard Peacock, Blackshear; a daughter, Andrea Tanner (Keith), Blackshear; a son, the Rev. Andrew F. Peacock Jr. (Tara), Blackshear; four grandchildren, Kalin Tanner (Haylie), China Grove, NC, Haleigh James (Devin), Columbus, Ashton LaDuke, Blackshear and Andrew Bryce Peacock, Athens; six great-grandchildren, Gideon Tanner, Emma Grace James, Ruah Tanner, Ellington James, Paxton LaDuke and Uriel Tanner and a brother-in-law, Otis Chandler of Blackshear.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 13, from the New Life Church.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear.
