Linda Sue Hester Spell, 67, of Blackshear, passed away Monday evening, November 28, 2022, at Baptist Village in Waycross.
Born in Waycross March 24, 1955, she had lived in Pierce County for the past 37 years. She was a 1973 graduate of Ware County High School and a 1974 graduate of Ware Technical College. She had been bank manager for Fulton Federal for many years and then with The Peoples Bank after Fulton Federal was acquired by them. She would go on to work as a finance manager for George Dempsey Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge prior to working for Georgia Natural Gas where she would later retire due to her health. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to shop, fish, hunt, and dance. She was an avid animal lover and her pet dogs were like her children. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a daughter of the late Julian Schley Hester and Mabel Frances Lott Hester. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Wayne Hester.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Phillip Davis, Waycross and Kristy and Andy Rozier, Blackshear; her brother, Steven Schley Hester, Waycross; five grandchildren, Blake (Julie) Davis, Lane Davis (fiance’, Katelyn Hughes), Rew Rozier, Natalie Davis and Briar Rozier; two great -grandchildren, Allie Davis and Asher Davis and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, from the Pearson-Dial Chapel with the Rev. Greg Carter and the Rev. Buddy Griner officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Ware County.
Active pallbearers will be Blake Davis, Lane Davis, Rew Rozier, Briar Rozier, Scott Rozier and Will Rozier.
