Special to the WJH Hospice Satilla has been presented with the prestigious 2024 Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey Elite Award by HEALTHCAREfirst.
The honor is a testament to Hospice Satilla’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to patients and their families, HEALTHCAREfirst said in announcing the award.
“I am incredibly proud of our staff for earning this recognition,” said Debra Golden, Executive Director. “Each day they aim to deliver the best possible care to our patients, their caregivers, and families.”
The CAHPS citation recognizes hospices that excel in patient satisfaction and quality care. Hospice Satilla exceeded the national average score in the survey, excelling in the “Willingness to Recommend” category. This recognition underscores Hospice Satilla’s dedication to maintaining high standards of excellence across 23 other quality measures compared to national benchmarks.
“We established the Hospice Honors Award program over a decade ago to spotlight agencies that set the bar in quality patient care,” said Jeremy Crow, Head of RCM and CAHPS Survey, Home Health and Hospice at HEALTHCAREfirst. “We congratulate Hospice Satilla on this remarkable achievement and are honored to collaborate with them in their mission to provide exceptional care.” In addition to offering expert hospice and palliative care services, Hospice Satilla is committed to ensuring equitable access to care for all. This includes comprehensive grief and bereavement support counseling, veteran care, and advanced care planning.
