Pierce County Middle School’s Competition Cheerleaders won the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference Championship last week.
The girls finished up their competition season in style winning their seventh consecutive conference title and the 15th conference win in 16 years!
Coaches Dde Jordan and Sydney Tyson owe this winning streak to the team's dedication to the sport.
The cheerleaders begin practicing in May, working three-four days a week all summer, and, when school starts, practice five days a week through the fall and winter sports seasons to compete.
The girls competed in four invitational competitions this season before the conference competition.
Bringing home three first place wins and one second place which was a mere 0.5 points from first place.
Coaches Jordan and Tyson are so proud of the girls and what this cheer program instills in them. They take pride in the goals they have reached as a team, the close friendships they have made, and the legacy of winning they have continued to carry on.
The girls' final goal of the season was to make a score of 95 at Conference. They not only surpassed this goal by scoring 98 points, but they put 30 points between themselves and second place.
