Kimberly Mathurin, MD, and Darnelle Ambo, MD, were guest speakers at this week’s Blackshear Rotary Club meeting. The two physicians are currently part of the family residency program overseen by Dr. Brent Waters. Ambo is in her final year of residency and Mathurin has another year to complete. Both physicians shadow Dr. Waters at his family practice and complete rotations at Memorial Satilla Health. Mathurin and Ambo have a preference for rural healthcare and intend to stay in the area to practice medicine. Blackshear Rotary Club meets weekly at J. Leonard’s on Main.
