Early voting for general election run-off to start November 28

Early voting will begin Monday,  November 28 to decide the general election run-off for United States Senate between Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock and Republican Hershel Walker, a former University of Georgia football star.

Early voting will continue through Friday, December 2 at the Pierce County Courthouse Annex, 312 Nichols Street, Blackshear. There will be no early voting, Monday, Dec. 5. There will also be no Saturday voting locally.

Early voting hours will be from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Warnock finished in first place by about 35,000 votes in the general election November 8 with 49.42 percent of the vote. Walker had 48.52 percent. Walker received over 88 percent of the vote in Pierce County.

The runoff election will be from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, at regular polling places in Pierce County including the NFC Gym in Blackshear, 705 College Avenue and Eagle Station, 3507 Williams Street, Patterson.
