“Buddy” Floyd

“Buddy” Floyd is remembered this week by his friends at the Pierce County Senior Center for his gardening skills and his talent on the harmonica.

Floyd, 87, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 1. at Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness.

Retired from Waycross Molding (Ace Rubber), Floyd was active every day with the Pierce County Senior Center.

He enjoyed music and

playing his harmonica and helped with the garden at the center, tending the watermelons this past summer.

He attended Waycross Primitive Baptist Church.

“The Seniors at the Center miss his smiling face and hearing him play his harmonica. We will miss him and we loved this great man,” said the members of the senior center.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
